Information Communication Technologies (ICT) have a great potential and should be used to promote the spirit of the Earth Charter to people globally. The EC however needs to be adapted to the different geographical and social contexts. |

ICT has been instrumental in reaching the masses but in the case of the Earth Charter this has been slow. The earth Charter Initiative needs to have a media plan to conduct a communication campaign which incorporates the technologies of broadcasting and social media. |

The mobile phone technology has the potential to break social barriers of different kinds be it caste, religion, literacy and gender. The EC should promote the use of mobile phone technology for customized access to knowledge and facilitate action for natural resource management. |
